Guy Powers, brings unique perspectives for our strategic marketing programs and creative solutions.

Guy has extensive experience managing projects from concept to design, photography, illustration, retouching, and production. His campaigns have proven instrumental increasing market shares that have realized strong revenue gains. One of his strategic multifaceted campaigns resulted in increasing Tosca Olive Oil’s market position from number 27 to 4 nationwide and to 2 in the New York area in just one and a half years.

Guy was instrumental in launching the Marie Callender’s frozen food brand which was later purchased by Con-Agra. Then he helped launch the Marie Callender’s Frozen Pies which Con-Agra also purchased.

Guy designed and took all the photographs for the Weight Watcher’s Favorite Recipes Cookbook, He saved the La Choy brand time and money when he organized and photographed 61 packaging photographs in two weeks without one revision. He then followed up with the Rosarita brand photography.

Having worked with most all of the top Advertising Agencies, Public Relations firms and Publishers he is keenly aware of the positive results of team building with coordinated efforts. Among these firms are BBD&O, J. He is a founding member/Managing Director of the CFO 911 financial consulting firm and a Managing Director of Dabney & Associates. Mr. Dabney has held various corporate management and financial industry positions over the past 35 years. His corporate experience includes serving as a Controller, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for private companies and public multinationals. Mr. Dabney has extensive knowledge of the food industry and has held the positions of European Treasurer for General Foods/Philip Morris, Director of Finance for the Pillsbury Company and Assistant Treasurer for Ecolab, Inc. While with General Foods/Philip Morris, he was promoted six times in a period of seven years, and he was directly involved in the structuring and issuance of approx.- imately $2.5 billion of debt, commercial paper and bank financings.

Mr. Dabney’s professional qualifications also include operations management, consultative business development, research, financial analysis, deal structuring, investor relations, banking relationships, sales management, proposal development, international finance, corporate restructuring, corporate governance, compliance and team building. His Wall Street experience encompasses nearly 15 years as a senior equity research analyst and corporate finance professional with Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Dain, Rauscher, Wessels, and Monarch Bay Associates. During this time he raised more than $1.5 billion in debt and equity for corporate clients.

Mr. Dabney earned a B. A. degree in Literature and Economics from Claremont McKenna College and an M. B. A. in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. In the late 1980’s: Founded and launched two highly targeted niche quick-service Restaurant concepts: Home Cooked American Cuisine and Tex-Mex Cuisine. Grew consecutively over a ten year period, to achieve and reach annual sales of over $7 Million dollars combined with Four Units with 55 full time employees and 40 part time employees. Structured and negotiated solid financial investor agreements and authored strategic business and marketing plans to facilitate start-up, build and support market growth and penetration.

In the late 1990’s; Recruited by Italian Food Distributor Giant Roma Food Enterprises to financially strengthen and position the corporation for growth and expansion. Managed a cross functional team of more than 5 sales professionals, daily production, accounting and procurement.10 team members were first line reporters; achieving more than 30% sales growth during tenure. Sales, Marketing & New Business Develop- ment included creating market- specific, direct and indirect distribution networks using private labeling strategies to penetrate high growth and emerging business opportunities into the market of Mexico. Restructured proprietary product line and reinvigorated efforts to maximize sales and services to our new and existing customer base all with an overall increased to net profit margins by 3%.

Analyzed corporate performance methods and orchestrated an aggressive re-engineering of all core operating functions. Re-staffed key managers, redistributed workflow and duties and cut manpower hours by over 20%. Reduced overhead costs, instituted the use of new uniforms and secured a new fleet of trucks to enhance corporate image. Payroll increases were issued to tenured employees due to the direct results of the restructuring. Resolved chronic Accounts Payable and Receivable issues with customers and vendors to help increase the cash flow and reduce our expense liability exposure.

By the early 2000’s joined US Foodservice Giant to develop and oversee International Accounts to strengthen the corporations growth and expansion in Central and South America, The Caribbean and Europe. Directly responsible for Top Clients- Wyndham International, Hilton International, Westin Resorts, Wholesale Distributors and Premier Restaurants. Executed successful travel to new countries in The Caribbean, Central and South America to foster strong customer relationships, organizing and conducting sales meetings and product training.
